THE ULTIMATE COMPRESSION GARMENT GUIDE

BBL FAJAS COLOMBIANAS 101:COMPRESSION GARMENT GUIDE

THE ULTIMATE COMPRESSION GARMENT GUIDE:

Compression garments, such as fajas colombianas, are designed to provide gentle and consistent pressure to the treated areas of the body. This pressure helps to reduce swelling, bruising, and discomfort, and can also help to prevent fluid build-up and fibrosis formation. Additionally, compression garments can provide support to the body as it heals, which can help to minimize the risk of complications.

It's important to follow your surgeon's instructions when it comes to wearing a compression garment after liposuction or other body contouring procedures. The length of time you'll need to wear the garment will depend on the extent of your procedure and your individual healing process. Your surgeon may recommend that you wear the garment 24 hours a day for the first few days or weeks, and then gradually decrease the amount of time you wear it as your body heals.

When choosing a compression garment, it's important to select one that fits well and provides the appropriate amount of compression. It's a good idea to try on different sizes and styles before purchasing a garment, as different brands and models may fit differently. Some garments may be more comfortable or more effective than others, depending on your individual needs.

To properly wear a compression garment, follow the manufacturer's instructions or the guidelines provided by your surgeon. In general, you'll want to start by putting on the garment in the morning, before getting out of bed. Make sure the garment is snug but not too tight, and that it covers all of the treated areas. You may need to adjust the garment throughout the day as you move around and as your body swells or changes shape.

It's important to keep your compression garment clean and dry, and to avoid wearing it for extended periods of time without taking breaks to stretch and move around. Your surgeon may also recommend specific exercises or massage techniques to help promote healing and prevent complications.

Overall, wearing a compression garment after body contouring procedures that include liposuction can be an important part of the recovery process. By following your surgeon's instructions and selecting a well-fitting, comfortable garment, you can help promote healing and achieve optimal results.

During stage 1, the compression garment should be worn at all times, except when showering. It's important to wear the garment as quickly as possible after showering to maintain consistent compression. The compression level of the garment should be low, and it should not be too tight, as good blood circulation is important during this period of time. Wearing the garment too tight can cause faja burn, permanent indentations, and scarring. The main purpose of the stage 1 faja is to minimize swelling, not to "snatch" your waist.

To maximize the effectiveness of the compression garment, accessories such as abdominal boards and foam inserts should be used. These accessories help to provide additional compression to the treated areas and promote healing. It's important to wear the abdominal board and foam inserts at all times during stage 1, except when sleeping.

It's important to follow your surgeon's instructions carefully during stage 1, as this period of time is critical to the healing process. By wearing the compression garment and accessories consistently and following any additional guidelines provided by your surgeon, you can help to minimize swelling and achieve favorable  results.

During stage 2, the compression garment should be worn at all times, except when showering. It's important to wear the garment as quickly as possible after showering to maintain consistent compression. The compression level of the garment should be high, and it will be very tight and uncomfortable. It may have eye-hook connectors down the front that allow you to tighten it over time as your waist "snatches." However, it's important to note that you should not engage in metal boning waist training until you are 3 months out of surgery, as this can interfere with the healing process.

During this stage, you can discontinue the use of the foams and abdominal board, as the high compression garment should provide enough support and compression on its own. However, it's important to continue to follow any additional guidelines provided by your surgeon, such as specific exercises or massage techniques.

It's important to be patient during this stage, as the high compression garment can be uncomfortable and it may take time for your waist to "snatch" to your desired shape by wearing the garment consistently.

It's important to note that during recovery, especially during the first month, you may need to pee more frequently due to the elimination of fluid from your body. Since removing your compression garment can be painful, it may be necessary to pee standing up while wearing your faja.

One solution to make this process easier is to use a device such as the Tinkle Belle. This device has a slender shape that fits into the opening of your faja seamlessly, allowing you to pee while standing up without having to remove your garment. It's a good idea to practice using the device in the shower a few times before your surgery to get the hang of it.

Remember to follow any specific instructions provided by your surgeon during the recovery period, including any guidance on using the restroom while wearing a compression garment. By following these instructions and taking the necessary precautions, you can help to ensure a smooth and successful recovery.

Compression socks are an important aspect of post-op recovery and can help to prevent swelling in the feet and legs after surgery. They are typically worn for 7 days following the procedure, and your surgeon will typically provide you with one pair of socks to wear after surgery.

It's a good idea to get a second pair of socks, as fluid leakage from the surgical site can cause the socks to become soiled. Wearing fresh socks while the other pair is being washed can help to promote cleanliness and hygiene during the recovery period.

compression socks can be a good choice, If you are traveling for surgery, it's important to wear compression socks on your flight home to help prevent swelling in the feet and legs during the journey.

Lipo foams are an important tool for promoting a smooth and uniform compression of the abdominal skin after cosmetic surgery. These foam inserts are typically placed inside your compression garment for the first 3 weeks after surgery, and are designed to provide even pressure and support to the surgical site.

Lipo foams are made from a soft and flexible material, and are contoured to fit the shape of your body. They are designed to help promote proper healing and prevent the development of irregularities or bumps in the abdominal area following surgery.

During the first few weeks after surgery, it's important to follow your surgeon's instructions regarding the use of lipo foams and other post-op garments. By using these tools as directed, you can help to ensure a smooth and successful recovery, with optimal results that meet your expectations.

Abdominal & Lumbar Boards The Abdominal Board provides the extra support your midsection needs after an aesthetic procedure to preventing fluid retention, skin folds, and irritation. This is often required by your surgeon to be worn inside your Stage 1 Faja for 3 weeks after surgery.

Abdominal and lumbar boards are specialized tools that are often used in post-op recovery following cosmetic surgery. The abdominal board is designed to provide extra support to the midsection, helping to prevent fluid retention, skin folds, and irritation in the abdominal area.

Abdominal compression boards are typically required by surgeons to be worn inside the Stage 1 Faja garment for the first 3 weeks after surgery. The board is designed to fit comfortably against the abdomen, providing even pressure and support to the surgical site.

Lumbar boards are similar in design, but are used to provide support to the lower back during the recovery period. They can be particularly useful for patients who have undergone lower body contouring procedures, such as liposuction of the hips and thighs.

Like other post-op garments and accessories, it's important to follow your surgeon's instructions regarding the use of abdominal and lumbar boards during the recovery period. By using these tools as directed, you can help to promote proper healing and achieve the best results from your cosmetic surgery

Lumbar Molder gives extra support on your back. and helps shape your lower back. I personally did not use a Lumbar molder but, I know many dolls out there who swear by them.

The lumbar molder is another accessory that can be useful during the recovery period following cosmetic surgery. It is designed to provide additional support to the lower back, while also helping to shape and contour the area.

Like the abdominal board and other post-op accessories, the lumbar molder is typically recommended by surgeons for use during the first few weeks of recovery. It can be particularly helpful for patients who have undergone lower body contouring procedures, as these can sometimes put additional strain on the lower back.

While not all patients may need a lumbar molder, many find it to be a useful tool for promoting proper healing and achieving optimal results from their cosmetic surgery. As always, it's important to follow your surgeon's instructions regarding the use of post-op garments and accessories, and to communicate any concerns or questions you may have during the recovery.
